Since its founding, the Center for Jewish History has been privileged to receive guidance from a group of esteemed scholars from around the United States.
Current and past members of the Academic Advisory Council were invited to contribute these short essays, focusing on two distinct questions:
How does the decade in question reflect upon the century just ended?
How does it foreshadow the events of the century to come?
These essays provide a framework for our understanding of the course and shape of modern Jewish history.
